SqftPh ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website sqftph.com, a Philippine real estate marketplace that connects property buyers, renters, sellers, and licensed real estate agents. We are committed to protecting your personal information in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173, also known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012, and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated through your use of the platform:

• Account information: name, email address, and password when you register.
• Inquiry information: name, email address, phone number, and message when you submit a property inquiry.
• Profile information: profile photo and any other details you add to your account settings.
• Usage data: pages visited, search queries, filters applied, and listings viewed.
• Device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referral URL.
• Cookies: session cookies for authentication and preference cookies for site functionality.

We do not collect sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, financial account details, or health information.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account.
• To deliver property inquiries to the relevant agent.
• To send transactional emails such as password resets and inquiry confirmations.
• To display your saved favorites and inquiry history in your dashboard.

4. Sharing Your Information

• With agents: when you submit an inquiry, the agent assigned to that listing receives your name, email, phone number, and message.
• With service providers: we use trusted third-party services (email delivery, image hosting, error monitoring) that process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements.
• For legal compliance: when required by law, court order, or government authority.
• Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Inquiry records are retained for up to three (3) years for business and legal compliance purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 7).

6. Cookies

We use cookies strictly necessary for authentication and platform operation. We also use Google Analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage patterns. You may disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings; doing so will not affect your ability to use the platform.

9. Children's Privacy

SqftPh is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information through our platform, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
